BROMYARD Town's last West Midlands Premier Division game of the season saw them go down 4-3 at Lye Town.
Bromyard took the lead in the 20th minute when Carl Fairhurst turned two defenders on the edge of the box and smashed the ball into the roof of the net from an acute angle.
Ten minutes later Lye equalised after a shot hit the post and a Bromyard defender and went in.
In the 49th minute Adie Crowther made it 2-1, but five minutes later it was level again after a cross from Burgess went in off the crossbar.
A defensive mix up let in Alex Kilgour who headed home to make it 3-2 to Bromyard but within minutes Lye got another to level again.
With eight minutes remaining a through ball took a wicked deflection on the hard ground and enabled Lye to bag the winner.
At Bromyard's presentation evening, player of the year was Adie Crowther and brother Andy was top goalscorer. Chris Allen won the players' player award and clubman of the year went to Dave Barrick, a long serving stalwart of the club.
