PARENTS are being urged to be on their guard after a six-year-old boy was ordered to get into a stranger's car in Kidderminster.
North Worcestershire police are appealing for information after the alleged incident in the Woodbury Road area of Foley Park on Friday afternoon.
The young boy, who was walking to his friend's house, told specially trained officers he was approached by a man in a silver car, who then told him to get in.
Det Insp Sean Paley said they would like to hear from anyone who has seen a car of this description being driven around suspiciously in the area.
"If anyone else has been approached we would also like to hear from them," he said.
"These types of incidents can be worrying and we need some more information.
