STOURPORT Ladies 1st XI were recognized for their success when team coach Mark Moss presented the squad with medals at the club's annual dinner and award ceremony at Stourport Sports Club.
This followed hot on the heels of being presented with the Worcestershire Division One Championship trophy by outgoing Worcestershire Hockey president Alan Fothergill, at the county annual meeting, held at Droitwich Hockey Club.
The club's presentation evening also saw Owen Brotherton retaining the men's 1st XI most valuable player while David Knott held on to the club's top goalscorer award, which was presented at the veterans' dinner.
Other awards presented at the dinner were for the ladies section, which were presented by Chairman Lee Baron:
MVP 1st XI, Vickie Whitehouse; MVP 2nd XI, Lucy Holmes; MVP 3rd XI, Vicky Clarke; MVP 4th XI, Sue Totney; top goalscorer, Melissa Kennedy; young player, Kerry Walker (presented by Fran Long); clubwoman, Fran Long (presented by chairwoman Teri Baron).
The remainder of the men's award winners were: MVP 2nd XI, Marc Edwards; MVP 3rd XI, Rob Lashford; MVP 4th XI, Alistair Rosie; MVP 5th XI, Rob Bratt; MVP 6th, David Wardle; MVP 7th XI, Kyle Gayne; clubman, Bruce Baron; Dominic Gilhooly Memorial Trophy, Marc Edwards; club development award, Kevin Hughes.
From the juniors section Vickie Whitehouse, who has played at county and Midland level, picked up her second award when she was awarded the ladies MVP in the 1st XI, after picking up the Louise Gunn Award at the junior disco and awards.
Ben Carless (Most Valuable Badger) who has represented both Wales and Shropshire, and Lewis Bevan (Jonathan Young Memorial Trophy) were also amongst the recipients at the ceremony.
Most Improved Players Awards went to Seb Hudson, Will Burns, Callum Wilson, Aidan Cawley, Craig Jones, Harriet Burns, Vicky Clarke, Georgina Burns, James Morgan, William Terry, Ben Kenyon.
