FOUR fabulous main courses and puddings will be served up today when the finalists of the Worcester Chef of the Year battle it out for the winning title.
The final cook-off takes place at Fownes Hotel, Worcester in the presence of celebrity chef, Paul Rankin of Ready, Steady Cook.
The Evening News has teamed up with the Fownes and Worcester College of Technology to sponsor this event.
All four finalists will have to cook a different menu to the main course and pudding used in the first and second heat.
Matthew Hodgkins, aged 28, from Evesham works at the Dormy House Hotel in Broadway, near his home town. Richard Evans is a 33-year-old head chef at Hadley Bowling Green Inn.
Thirty-four year old Andrew McNaughton is the head chef of Epic' bar brasserie near Ombersley, and Susan Ellis, aged 24, is a sous chef at Belle House Restaurant, Bridge Street, Pershore.
People will be able to watch the finalists during this afternoon from 2.30pm and 5.30pm.
Ticket holders will be able to mingle with some of the big name Celebrity Chefs at the hotel, such as Paul Rankin, Roger Narbett, chef to the English football team, Martin Pearn, and Richard Brighton, head of hospitality at Worcester College of Technology.
Mike George of BBC Hereford & Worcester will be the compere at the event.
Playing throughout the afternoon will be the J B Jazz & Blues Trio.
A five-course evening gala dinner will take place at the hotel tonight, where the winner will be announced.
