TOTS as tiny as three months are having music lessons in Bidford.
It is all part of a scheme called Rhythm Time, run by Birmingham mum Cathy Doolan.
The former secondary school music teacher set it up when she had a young family of her own as a means of working around family commitments and educating her children.
It was so successful, she now trains other leaders and has classes all over the country.
The Bidford classes take place in the Methodist Church hall on Tuesday mornings and have been running for about a year.
There are five classes, covering ages from a few months to five years old, with 43 children from the village and surrounding area taking part.
"We try to help children's development through music," said Cathy.
"Young babies cannot see but can hear perfectly well so we play music to them.
"The older classes move on to percussion, sharing, dance and movement then talking about simple musical termination such as fast, slow, loud and soft.
"We also listen to classical music and it's great fun."
Cathy is assisted at the Bidford classes by Steve Swannell.
