AN elderly woman had her handbag snatched after being followed in her car by a man.
The 75 year old went to the shops in May Lane, Hollywood, last Wednesday between 11.30-11.45am
She drove down Shawhurst Lane to Drakes Cross parade and stopped by Spar.
Her friend got out of the car and noticed a red car behind her, which followed her down Simms Lane and into The Innage.
As the woman was getting her shopping out of the boot, she felt someone push her and grab at her bag.
After snatching her beige bag, containing a purse, £30 cash and cards, the man ran off and got into the red car before driving off towards Simms Lane.
DC Gary Mole said: "This woman has been very shaken by the incident and we believe the offender may have followed her either from the shops in May Lane or from Drakes Cross Parade.
"I would like to speak to anyone who has seen someone acting suspiciously in those areas or anyone who has any information about this crime to call me on 08457 444 888."
The thief had dark skin, and was possibly Asian. He was in his early 20s, of medium build and about 5ft 7ins tall.
He was wearing dark clothing and possibly a baseball cap.
