FRED BETTERIDGE: The funeral was due to take place at St Matthew's Church, Salford Priors, yesterday, of Mr Fred Betteridge, a well-known Salfordion. Until recently he lived in School Avenue with his wife Doll, until her death. Fred was a carpenter by trade working for many years at Cotton's Timber Yard at Bidford until becoming self-employed. He was a great lover of music, an accomplished drummer and played locally for many years.rict
