TWO members of The Redditch Company of Archers managed towering performances at the Walsall Double Fita Star.
Despite injuring a hand during training Jonathan Mynott scored Grand Master Bowman scores on both days of the event.
Mynott's second day score of 1258 was just two points off a British team qualification score.
Shooting in the recurve bow section, Redditch club chairman, Pete James, scored a personal best and a Master Bowman score, gaining the prestigious 1100 Fita Star in the process.
James can now add this achievement to his recent strong performances in Worcester County matches, where he has been the team's top scoring recurve archer.
Mynott and James, who both stand 6 feet 9 inches tall, will be joining other club members when the summer league matches start at Kingsley College.
The Redditch club will also be organising a beginners course at Kingsley College.
