MYSTERY still surrounds the death of a man whose body was found in a Worcestershire woodland on Monday.
Police have identified the man, but are not releasing his name and details until his next-of-kin have been informed.
A spokesman for the force would only confirm that the dead man did not originate from South Worcestershire and is not believed to have any direct connections with the area.
"Investigations are continuing to identify how the body came to be here," the police spokesman said.
The body was found in a beauty spot in Ombersley, close to where the murdered French student Celine Figard's murdered body was found almost 10 years ago.
The police would also not confirm if the man's death was being treated as suspicious.
"We are keeping an open mind about how this body came to be in the wood," added the spokesman.
A post mortem, performed by a Home Office pathologist, into the cause of death were inconclusive.
Further forensic tests are to be carried out.
