FORMER England international Andy Sinton could still be a Bromsgrove Rovers player next season.
Rovers chairman Tom Herbert is meeting with the star this week in a bid to persuade him to stay with the Victoria Ground club.
He said: "I am having a meeting with him this week. I am hopeful. We want him to stay."
Sinton, who made 12 appearances for his country, joined Rovers after George Rooney's departure to help caretaker boss Steve Pope through the final six games of last season.
During his career, the 38-year-old has played for the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Wolves, QPR and Sheffield Wednesday.

Meanwhile, boss Joe Jackson has allowed Marcus Jackson and Lee Williams to join Steve Pope in looking for new clubs.
He said: "None of those lads have left but they are not contracted players and I have given them the chance to talk to other people."
Jackson added that all the other players have expressed an interest in staying and he has already secured the services of Steve Frost, Kevin Banner and Matt Lowe for next season. He also hopes to keep striker Wesley Joyce at the club.
The boss added: "I am looking to try and keep as much of the previous squad as possible."
