EIGHTEEN cars had their tyres slashed on an Aston Fields industrial estate overnight on Monday in an escalating orgy of vandalism.
Emma Quinney, who works at Mason and Jones Packaging, in Sherwood Road, claims this is the latest in a spate of attacks on vehicles parked in the area.
She said vandals also smashed windscreens and caused damage to some of the industrial units.
"Everybody is getting a bit sick and tired of finding damage when they arrive here in the morning. It seems that this area is a target for vandals," she said.
Although there are not many houses near the estate, one of the units belongs to Car Crash Line UK, which supplies courtesy cars to insurance firms. No one was available from this firm to comment at the time the Advertiser/Messenger went to press.
There are also often a number of lorries parked in the area.
Police spokewoman, Joanne Hammond, confirmed cars in Sherwood Road and Aston Road had their tyres slashed on Monday night.
She said police were carrying out forensic investigations and would know more once these were complete.
"There is some new housing nearby so it is quite likely that somebody saw something go on. We would like to hear from them," she added.
Anyone with information about these incidents can call Bromsgrove police on 08457 444 888.
