ONE Bromsgrove girl is just a step away from the haute-couture catwalks of the capital now she has gained a place at one of the world's top fashion colleges.
Eighteen-year-old Jayne Hemsley has learned she has a place at the prestigious London College of Fashion.
Jayne saved a stitch in time by studying fashion and costume design at Inkberrow Design Centre, linked to NEW College, in the evenings and during her free periods, while studying for her A levels at South Bromsgrove High School, Charford Road.
Course director Brenda Killigrew said: "This is a superb achievement by Jayne. The LCF only take a tiny number of the absolute best UK students, their success is a testament to both their talent and hard work."
Jaynes is due to start the degree in Product Design and Development in September and is currently seeking sponsorhip. Anyone wishing to help can contact her on 01527 572675.
