THREE hundred residents are demanding motorists curb their speed on a stretch of road in Barnt Green.
Dorothy Young, of Margesson Drive, took it upon herself to collect the names of villagers who agree traffic calming measures need to be imposed on Bittell Road.
She would like to see motorists travelling at a much slower speed along the road, which stretches from Rednal through Cofton Hackett and into Barnt Green.
Barnt Green Parish Council has now adopted the campaign and copies of the petition have been sent to members of Bromsgrove District Council.
Parish councillor, Judith Jagger, said: "People use Bittell Road as a rat run, travelling at very high speeds."
Mrs Young is the second villager to submit such a petition is as many months. In March, Dr Tony Armond handed his petition of 90 signatures calling for traffic calming to the parish council.
