A FIRST-of-its-kind event attracted tenants from Droitwich, who met to discuss how they could become more environmentally friendly.
Residents of Spa Housing Association's properties throughout the district were invited to the first tenants conference of Malvern-based Festival Housing Group, of which Spa is a member.
The event, held at Bewdley's West Midlands Safari Park, was hailed as a big success.
The children enjoyed seeing the animals and the park while the adults and Spa's Green team came up with ideas for improving energy efficiency.
"It was a great day out, we really enjoyed the conference," said tenant Jeanette Weir, who is chairman of Spa's Board. "We were able to meet other tenants from the group, talk to staff about housing issues and learn about how we can save on fuel and become more environmentally aware," she said.
Mike Dutfield, tenant participation officer with Spa, said the association was delighted with the number of tenants, in particular younger people, who attended.
