THE first residents have just moved in to a new £500,000 housing scheme which is providing Droitwich with much-needed homes for rent.
Spa Housing Association is behind the development of seven three and two-bedroom houses at Impney Green.
"There is a big demand in the area for good quality rented homes for families and this scheme will help to meet it," said Clare Huyton, the housing association's executive director.
"Being in such a good location, only ten minutes from Droitwich town centre, the houses proved to be very popular," she added.
Funding for the scheme, which has just been completed, was provided by the Government-backed Housing Corporation and Spa Housing Association.
