A 14-YEAR-OLD Bromsgrove student is set to represent Great Britain in the sport of Biathle.
Alexander Williams, a pupil at Bromsgrove School, has been named in the GB team for the third event in this year's Biathle World Cup Series in Capalgio, Italy, on June 6.
Biathle comprises of a continuous run, swim and run and in Italy competitors will swim in the sea.
Williams, who lives in Worcester, is currently ranked fourth in Great Britain and reached this event by coming third in a qualifying event held in Bath in March.
Alex won the bronze medal in a similar event held in Holland last year. He trains three times a week with Worcester Athletics Club and six times a week with Worcester Swimming Club.
