A BROMSGROVE squash team is celebrating after winning promotion.
The men's first team from David Lloyd Leisure Centre, in Slideslow Drive, won the Worcester Squash League Division Four earlier last month.
Following a closely contested first half of the season with local rivals Altered Images, the team won all their games after Christmas, with good wins over Haybridge and Altered Images putting them in pole position. They went on to win the league by 22 points.
The team, indebted to coach Bet Dryhurst and David Lloyd's Gareth Jones for their support since forming 18 months ago, received the trophy at the Worcester Squash Rackets Awards evening in Stourport.
Lewis Jones was also presented with the individual divisional award for winning the most games.
