TWO golfers from a Lickey club stand on the verge of a trip of a lifetime.
James Davidson, aged 33, and his Rose Hill PGA professional Mark Toombs are just one win away from reaching the final stages of Europe's biggest pro-am tournament, the Lombard Trophy.
If the pair can come through the next stage, the regional final at Little Aston GC on Monday, May 24, they will qualify for the luxury five-day trip to San Lorenzo in Portugal's Algarve.
The 16 regional winners throughout Great Britain and Ireland will enjoy an expenses paid trip between September 3 and 7.
Bromsgrove-based Davidson, who plays off a 15 handicap, took his first step towards Portugal when he won the club qualifying competition on March 27.
Toombs, aged 37, has been at Rose Hill GC for three years. He was Worcester professional champion in 2001.
