SIXTEEN sailors contested the Lark Sail Boat open meeting in ever-changing wind strengths at Barnt Green Sailing Club last weekend.
The event at Upper Bittell Reservoir was dominated by the Suggitt family, of Barnt Green, who won four races.
Last Saturday's first race was won by Paul Gardner and Katherine Sampson of the Royal Yachting Association club followed closely by Bob and Kelsey Suggitt.
In the second race, the Suggitts fought back to hold their lead to the finish from Steve Cumley and Eluned Jones and Emma Harris and Becky Priest.
Bob Suggitt controlled the final race, a single-handed event, but retired at the finish after missing out a mark on the course, handing victory to Cumley.
On Sunday three races were completed, with the Suggitt team claiming a first place, second and a third to win the open race series.
