I WISH to add to the article Peter's Labour Not Lost (Chronicle, April 28). The Mulberry tree was propagated by Arthur Coldicott, the late husband of Shirley Coldicott, who was depicted in the photograph without any explanation.
The tree started life in 1989 so is now in its 15th year, I having had it for the last five years.
All the credit for preserving this strain should go to Arthur and I hope the town council can find a safe position for a tree with a historic connection.
Also, thank you to Shirley for giving me the tree.
