VICE -president Wendy Hart chaired the May meeting in the absence of Sue Lawson, who was on holiday.
Wendy welcomed two visitors and Jackie Gregory to the meeting. Jackie is the delegate at the AGM to be held in Sheffield this year.
Doris Smith was presented with a voucher for being the overall winner of the year's competitions.
Trips to Blenheim Palace, the Botanical Gardens and a literary lunch at Great Witley are open to members.
New activities planned include a skittles evening at Studley, a trip to the brine baths and a walking group is to be started, the first walk to be led by Val on May 25.
Audrey Clarke reported on her day at Little Witley where she attended a course on machine embroidery. She brought along a sample of the work she had achieved.
Names were taken of members wishing to go into the draw for the Denman College bursary. Later in the evening, Jackie drew out the winning name of Hilary Taylor.
Jean Hart gave an account of the spring group meeting hosted by Ipsley WI.
Learning the art of a pantomime dame was entertainment indeed.
The three resolutions for the AGM at Sheffield were discussed. Wendy and Hilary had attended a briefing meeting at Feckenham and they put the resolutions forward, after which members voted.
