A WINYATES West walker will be taking steps to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Relief.
Self-employed IT consultant John Legge, whose week-long journey begins on Sunday, June 2, will walk from Chipping Camden to Bath.
He will travel about 100 miles by foot through scenic countryside and villages on the Cotswold Way.
Mr Legge, of Badger Close, will be joined by friends for some of the daily walks and will stay overnight in bed and breakfast accommodation en route.
He decided to raise funds for the charity when two of his neighbours lost family members to cancer.
"During their illness they were looked after by Macmillan nurses," he said.
"I looked into their work and they are a really worthy cause."
Mr Legge raised money for the Alexandra Hospital four years ago when he completed the Three Peaks walk in the Derbyshire Peak District.
