HEROES, villains, melodrama and comedy are staples of silent films and are brought back to vivid life by The Clod Ensemble in their latest production, Greed, at Chipping Norton Theatre. Inspired by Chaplin and Keaton, Greed is a story about marriage and dentistry, the business of love and the love of business.
With no spoken words and projected inter-titles in a faithful re-creation of the silent-film style, Greed casts a critical eye over a very contemporary subject - a consumerist society that takes no responsibility for its actions.
The show takes place on Wednesday at 8pm and tickets priced £10 (concessions £8). Call the box office on 01608 642350.
l Keeping Tom Nice, a moving play about the effects of disability within the family, opens at the Worcester Swan Studio from Wednesday to next Saturday, and in the Main House next Sunday at 7.30pm. Call the box office on 01905 611427 for details.
