BOWLS: A host of Wyre Forest bowlers were involved as Worcestershire made a disappointing start to their defence of the Midland Counties Trophy.
The county lost by 18 shots to Nottinghamshire in Nottingham but were encouraged by the performance of a side containing several promising youngsters.
They acquitted themselves well to the occasion against a more experienced side which included internationals Brett Morley and David Robinson.
Worcestershire, who fielded Kidderminster's England cap Grant Burgess, took four points to Notts' 18.
