PARENTS across Wyre Forest have been warned to be vigilant after a young boy told police he was approached by a man in a car.
The incident involving the six-year-old was believed to have taken place in the Woodbury Road area of Foley Park in Kidderminster during Friday afternoon.
The boy, who was walking to a friend's house, told officers he was asked by a man in a silver car to get into the vehicle.
Police were told of the incident by the youngster's mother the following day.
Specially trained officers interviewed him.
Det Insp Sean Paley said: "We would like to hear from anyone who saw a silver car being driven around suspiciously in the Foley Park area on Friday afternoon to get in touch or, if anyone else has been approached, we would also like to hear from them.
"These types of incidents can be worrying and we need some more information.
"Officers in CID can be contacted on 08457 444888, extension 3033."
