MEMBERS of the class of 1949 intake at Prince Henry's Grammar School, Evesham, mulled over old times at a reunion at the Northwick Hotel.
The reunion was hurriedly arranged to enable Annita Fricker (nee Cruttenden) to meet some of her old school friends after 40 years.
Annita's father was E A Cruttenden - known as Fred - who was editor of the Evesham Standard, in those days another weekly paper in Evesham, when she was at PHGS. Later the Standard was taken over by the Journal.
Annita said: "I left Evesham in 1959 and went to Australia in 1973 and while on holiday was able to spend a day in Evesham and so am very grateful to Ron Smith for arranging the reunion," she said.
Annita spent the day exploring the present day Evesham with Mr Smith and her old school friend Clare Edwards.
