VALE residents have been urged to write their wills during St Richard's Hospice's Write A Will Month and to consider leaving a legacy to the charity.
Solicitors throughout the county, including Parkinson Wright in Evesham and Pershore, will be offering to write wills throughout June for £45 for a single person or £60 for a couple, with all fees are being donated to the charity.
St Richard's volunteers also hope many people will leave legacies to the charity to help them continue their work in support of the terminally ill.
Marilyn Peachey, director of fundraising, said: "All our services are free to patients and their families, but we depend on donations and legacies from generous supporters to keep the hospice running.
"The hospice currently costs nearly £2million a year to run and prepare for the future, a future that includes a desperately-needed new £5.25million hospice with the first specialist beds for patients in South Worcestershire.
"We very much hope that local people will use this chance to leave a legacy to St Richard's, large or small, but there is no obligation to do so.
"If you have already made a will, it's very simple to add a small codicil to leave a specific amount to the hospice."
Anyone who would like to make an appointment to write a will should contact Parkinson Wright in High Street, Evesham, on 01386 41441 or in Broad Street, Pershore, on 01386 554521.
