BADSEY'S belated start to life in Division Six of the Worcestershire County Lea-gue ended in a convincing victory against Worcester's third string.
Tony Cowley and Craig Jenn-ings were the stars as they shared an unbroken sixth wickets partnership of 159 after the visitors had slipped to 103-5.
Badsey's mixture of youth and experience were invited to bat and John Osbourne recorded his maiden league half-century to help his side to 90-1.
The loss of four cheap wickets brought Cowley and Jennings together and the former's unbeaten 116 was the chief reason why the hosts were left chasing a daunting 263 for victory.
Opening bowler Tom Paul then took the honours in the field with figures of 4-15 from eight overs as Worcester crashed to 40-4 after nine overs.
Spinner Jamie Anderson was introduced when the reply had moved on to 60-6 and he took three of the last four wickets to fall to help celebrate a 154-run winning baptism after the switch from the Cotswold Hills League.
