A TOP score of 32 in the extras column, adequately sums up Pershore's problems at Kington last Saturday.
Chasing a second Worcest-ershire County League first division success, the visitors were swept aside by the experienced Kevin Gwynne.
After Australian Vinny Kay had dismissed openers Cooper and Eversham, the Pershore batsmen were unable to come to terms with the guile of Gwynne who produced impressive figures of 7-60 as he bowled unchanged throughout.
Only Oxley (24) and Meers (22) showed any significant resistance as the visitors were dismissed for a disappointing 141.
Johnson made an early breakthrough but the bowlers were unable to extract the same help from the pitch and an unbeaten 39 from Williams and quickfire 41 from Symonds steered Kington to a six-wicket win with eight overs to spare.
Oxley completed a good all-round display with figures of 2-11 from eight tidy overs.
The club's youth policy was very much in evidence the next afternoon when eight players under 21 took to the field for the Clubs league fixture against Bewdley.
Pershore were asked to bat and started slowly against accurate bowling. Most of the top order appeared set but only Wilks (39) could muster a decent score.
Liam Ridings (29) and skipper Bozward (25) added useful runs down the tail as Bewdley were set 156 for victory.
An opening stand of 61 set them on their way but the introduction of Wilks and Powles into the attack turned things Pershore's way.
The pair conceded just 29 runs from their combined 18 overs and 13 off the final over proved too many for the chasers.
