A HEREFORD duo are celebrating after being voted through to the second round of a new music programme.
BiZali appeared with two other bands in the last heat of the first round for ITV1 Central's Music (Uncovered) last Friday.
They will now be appearing on the programme in a few weeks time after being given the thumbs up by a panel of judges.
BiZali consist of 18-year-old guitarist and songwriter, Aaron Zahl and 17-year-old singer, Blythe Pepino.
They have only been together for around seven months, and last week was the first time the band appeared on television.
They had only done five gigs before appearing on the show.
On Music (Uncovered) BiZali were filmed at The Sanctuary in Digbeth, Birmingham, playing two songs, Lucky and Last Man Standing.
Last Man Standing was aired last Friday.
Lucky, which will be shown during the second round, is built around jazz sequences.
It was written when Aaron's luck was down, and Last Man Standing was written about the Hutton Inquiry.
"I watched the programme with Blythe last week and it was really odd seeing yourself on television," says Aaron.
"My parents are away on holiday at the moment so they weren't around to see it.
"My brother saw the show and he said it was really good.
"Lucky will be televised in the near future. There are three second rounds and I think we will be in the third one."
The BiZali partnership began when Aaron heard Blythe sing back in the autumn of 2002.
He asked her to sing a few songs at his brother Daniel's wedding, and she agreed.
Before BiZali, Aaron was lead singer and guitarist with Hereford rock band Magpie.
BiZali are hoping to play Worcester soon as they have not played the Faithful City yet.
People should keep their eyes peeled for the duo on Music (Uncovered) on Friday nights to find out if they make it through the second round.
