THE parents of a Herefordshire skydiver who plunged 13,000ft to his death are due to issue a statement this afternoon, ahead of the latest news into the investigation.
Paul and Mary Hilder will be at the press conference in Hull, but will not answer any press questions.
Police investigating the death of 20-year-old army cadet are expected to reveal the latest forensic developments at the meeting.
His parents will leave the room before officers state their findings.
In April, Humberside Police said they had made a significant discovery and started new DNA and fibre tests.
Senior investigating officer Det Supt Colin Andrews and his deputy Det Chief Insp Kevin Bowe were due to release the results at today's conference, at Humberside Police Headquarters.
Stephen Hilder, from Stretton Sugwas, near Hereford, died while competing in a skydiving contest at Hibaldstow airfield, in North Lincolnshire last July.
