A FORMER cruise ship director has lined up an evening of wining and dining to support an appeal to raise cash for a new children's hospice in Worcester.
New mum Debbie Harding, is organising the charity evening at Droitwich's Chateau Impney Hotel on Friday, July 9.
Acorns Children's Hospice Trust is in the final phase of its fund-raising appeal to build a £4m hospice, in Bath Road, which is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
The hospice will provide care and support for more than 250 children who are not expected to reach adulthood from Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire.
Mrs Harding said: "I have just had my baby and I realised how lucky we were. Now I want to help others who are not so fortunate.
Guests will be welcomed with a wine reception followed by a four-course dinner and cabaret acts including a singer and a comedian.
Tickets for the evening cost £40 per person and are available from Mrs Harding on 01905 756895.
