A TALENTED youngster will swap Longdon for London when he treads the boards in a new play.
Longdon Primary School pupil Joe Yeates, 11, will appear in Life on Earth, a black comedy being performed at the London Palladium on May 31.
Joe, who is in Year 6, plays the part of a young boy in the musical and has been travelling to London every weekend since February to rehearse. He previously appeared in To Die For at the Palladium and said he would enjoy performing there again.
"It's really good fun. I'm looking forward to it," he said.
Meanwhile, a Hanley Castle pupil has secured a place in the prestigious National Youth Theatre. Sixteen-year-old Matthew Stockton, from Upton, was offered a place last week.
