WELLAND JUNIORS concluded another successful season with their annual 'World Cup Day' tournament last Saturday at The Hill Centre, Upton.
The turnout represented all the clubs' 11 age groups and provided a chance for the whole club to congratulate their U14s team, who were league champions and cup winners.
Thanks go to the referees who came along to help and organise the tournament, Dave Roberts, Malcolm Dalley, Malcolm Murray, Chris Rock, Roy Storr and Bob Rogers.
This season's club awards went to: John Craddock Award for Excellence (presented by Simon Craddock) to Steve Forrester,
Senior Clubman (presented by Gordon Bennet) to Liam Paddock,
Junior Clubman (presented by Gordon Bennet) to Oliver Lewis.
Managers awards: U6 Daniel Rawlings, U7s Joe Kemp, U8s Tim Lewis, U9s Matthew Dunwell, U10s Max Wesley, U11s David Humphries, U12s Ashley Hall-Robinson, U13s Barton Matthews, U14s (Sam Clifford Award) Liam Paddock, U15s Shane Jackson, U16s Joe Street.
Player's player awards: U12s Harry Hodgkins, U13s Stuart Davison, U14s Ben Marks, U15s Oliver Smith, U16s Lorcan Lynch.
The club's AGM is at The Hill Centre, Upton on July 9 at 7.30pm and signing on for the league teams commences on Saturday, July 3.
On Sunday (May 23) there will be a fundraising car boot sale at Welland crossroads commencing at noon, cars £5, van £7.
