I WAS of course appalled by the vandalism reported in last week's Malvern Gazette. The sawing down of trees in the cemetery seems a particularly mindless act.
However following the example of the gravestones, I am surprised that the town council hasn't already leapt into action.
Surely all the trees in the cemetery need to be staked and secured (tall metal poles would do the job nicely), so that none of the young people are injured as they try to vandalise the trees. No expense should be spared; health and safety comes first.
