THE Smyth and Scott Cup tournaments took place on Sunday at Malvern Girls' College.
These girls and boys singles tournaments are well established in the county and this year seven different schools took part.
In the Smyth Cup for the girls the four seeds reached the semi-finals where Alice Huskinson, from Alice Ottley School, defeated Charlotte Thomas from Hereford Cathedral School.
The other semi final saw the clash between Lucy Dean and Nancy Zhang, both from Malvern Girls' College. In a close game Lucy emerged as the winner in a tight three set match.
In the final Alice retained her trophy for a second year by defeating Lucy 6-1, 6-3.
The boys' Scott Cup also saw the the four seeded players reach the semi finals. David Jukes from Malvern College defeated Richard Tuck from The Chase 7-6, 6-4 and Ben Marks, also from The Chase, beat Moritz Petersen from Malvern College 6-3, 6-3.
In the final Ben took the trophy with a 6-4, 6-4 win over David.
