WITH the apparent moves by Blair and Bush in damage limitation to their political careers, we hear of proposals to withdraw troops earlier from Iraq, which - since legally they should not have been there in the first place - is the correct action to take.
However, what about Blair making an impact on the political stage closer to home by also bringing our troops home from Northern Ireland?
Blair and Co have allowed activists McGuinness and Adams on to the Westminster payroll without any allegiance to the Queen. So perhaps, in Blair's eyes, the job is done.
Many hundreds of our troops have died in Northern Ireland. For what?
Their reward is to be prosecuted as in the continuing Lord Saville enquiry costing we taxpayers some £125m.
And now we hear our troops might be prosecuted over actions during the war in Iraq.
And our leaders expect our troops without reservation to risk their lives in conflict!
