FOLLOWING Malvern's win last week against local rivals Barnards Green, they entertained Evesham on a glorious Sunday morning and produced another fine performance to win by the narrowest of margins.
MALVERN CC U11 v EVESHAM CC U11
Malvern batted first and the fist two pairs of Burton and Davies then Walwyn and Smith were tied down by some good accurate bowling. Malvern finally finished on 225-4 after a final flourish by Roskhams and Blackmore.
In reply Evesham got off to a flying start with Mallory top scoring with 17, but the following pairs found runs hard to come by.
Wickets from Davis, Hennessey and Roskhams and an accurate spell by Ziegler left the visitors needing six from the last over.
Evesham could only manage four to leave Malvern victorious by a single run.
