PENSIONERS are being offered crime prevention advice from Age Concern in Worcester, as part of its Safe and Secure Week.
From today until Friday, the charity will be holding a range of demonstrations and talks from firemen, crime reduction officers and neighbourhood watch co-ordinators, specifically geared towards older people.
Throughout the week, free products and advice will be available on ways to help protect pensioners, their families and their homes from crime.
Lynne Matthews of Age Concern Hereford & Worcester said she hoped the event would give people a better understanding of potential dangers and help reduce the risk of people becoming victims of crime.
"Crime is a sad reality of our society, but hopefully we can show older people that there are steps they can take to feeling safer in their homes and while out and about," she said.
The event is being held at the charity's offices in Sansome Street Worcester, between 9.30am and 1.30pm.
