A TEENAGER has died from stab wound injuries sustained at a church housing association complex in Worcester.
The 19-year-old, who has not been named, was found with stab wounds in Willow Court, off Stanley Road, in the city's Wyld's Lane area.
Police and ambulance crews found the man near the flats at around 3am on Sunday.
He was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital and later died from his injuries.
A 41-year-old Worcester man has been arrested in connection with the incident and police are appealing for witnesses.
A Home Office pathologist has carried out a post-mortem, and the results are expected to be announced later today.
English Churches Housing Group (ECHG) residents said they were shocked by the death, but added there were "ongoing problems" at the site.
One resident of the neighbouring Nightingale House, who asked not to be named, said it was not unusual to see trouble.
There are always lots of arguments and lots of fights. It really isn't a very nice place to live and the police and ambulance crews are up here most weekends," he said.
Another resident, who also asked not to be named, said there were a number of people who were giving the flats a bad name.
"There are some nice people who live here, but lots appear to be alcoholics who spend all their time drinking and then start making trouble at night," she said.
Dozens of Stanley Road residents all described the complex as a real blot on an otherwise peaceful road.
A spokeswoman for ECHG said she was unable to comment on the incident, due to the police investigation.
