THE voluntary group set up to look after the interests of Worcester's Gheluvelt Park hope city residents can help them find the original styling of the park's boundary railings.
The Friends of Gheluvelt Park, along with the city council, are considering replacing the railings to secure the park during the night with those similar to the ones that were used when it first opened in 1922.
Those railing, which ran along Barbourne Road, were removed during the Second World War.
The group is also looking into the possibility of clearing out the pond, which has now become so silted up that ducks have been seen walking on the surface in some places!
The park will be a hive of activity this summer, with a number of events planned.
It will be hosting live bands on Sundays from early June and a fun day is planned for Thursday, August 26.
Anyone who can help find the park's original railings is asked to contact the Friends on 01905 612986.
