MOTORISTS in Worcester will have to contend with eight separate areas at which roadworks could cause delays this week.
There will be a lane closure today to allow work to be carried out in Sansome Walk.
Temporary traffic lights will also be in place at off-peak times in Hastings Drive, on Tuesday, May 25.
Contractors will carry out a railway bridge inspection at Grandstand Road on Wednesday, May 26.
One-way
Friar Street has been one-way in the north direction to an exit on to the City Walls Road, since Transco contractors started work there on Monday, May 10.
Temporary traffic lights have been operating 24 hours a day since May 10 in Newtown Road, at its junction with Canterbury Road, and these will remain until May 28.
Henwick Road will be closed every Sunday until June 13, for work to be carried out by Severn Trent Water. A diversion route is in operation.
Transco contractors will start work in College Street, on Sunday, May 30, and a lane closure will be in operation from then until further notice.
