GIRLS Aloud and McFly are just two of the hot pop acts to grace the stage of Wyvern FM's summer pop event, which this year has moved away from Worcestershire.
The two groups will perform at the event on Sunday, July 4 at Himley Hall, near Dudley.
More acts will be announced over the next few weeks.
Wyvern FM has held its XS Summer pop event for the past two years at Worcestershire County Cricket Ground.
But in a previous Evening News article, Simon Monk, programme controller at Wyvern FM, said the timing and Worcester City Council's licence fee, which had risen from £500 to £6,500 at the cricket club, were factors in deciding not to hold the event in Worcester.
In March's article he said he was hopeful that the event could return to Worcester in 2005, with backing from the council and cricket club.
Last year, the sell-out show included acts such as Atomic Kitten, Busted and Mis-Teeq.
The two-day event at Worcestershire Cricket Club proved to be a success, with a sell-out crowd of 12,800 for the Saturday, and a strong showing for Sunday's classical programme.
"Here at Wyvern FM, we're delighted that Summer XS is coming," said Mr Monk, Wyvern FM programme controller.
"It's the third year running that the biggest acts in pop have come to perform for our listeners and we expect 2004 to be the best XS yet."
The doors open at midday, with the concert starting at 2pm.
Tickets for the event, sponsored by Bicknells Vauxhall, Blackpole, Worcester, cost £10 plus a £1 booking fee from the Summer XS ticket hotline on 08708 400 400 or they can be bought via www.musicradio.com
