AN exhibition of hand-printed photographs is being held as part of the events commemorating the 70th anniversary of Sir Edward Elgar's death.
The images in An Alternative Elgar Route, which will be displayed at the Elgar Birthplace Museum, in Lower Broadheath, from this Friday, follow a journey of musical inspiration taken from Elgar's own history and letters, places he visited and locations he used as rural retreats.
Travels
The exhibition also includes a series of wells and fountains from which Elgar might have found refreshment on his travels.
The photographer, Alex Pownall, grew up in Malvern and says she was introduced to Elgar at an early age and has always had a keen interest in his music.
The exhibition will run until Sunday, June 6.
