I THINK the majority of your readers will agree that the current situation in Iraq is a disaster.

We still have fighting going on, the infrastructure is still in a shambles and both the US and the UK are accused by the International Red Cross of torturing Iraqi prisoners.

The UK's standing in the world must be at an all-time low. How will our Prime Minister be able to sit round a table with other world leaders and be able to speak of truth, honesty and integrity. These are principals that I and many other English people aspire to.

Why did not Tony Blair, when he was studying the bombing schedules and battle orders, not stop and think of what comes after.

Justification

It is plain to anyone that there was no credible coalition plan to rebuild Iraq after the war.

They are just making it up as they go along. The war itself was the justification.

It could be said that Tony Blair should have used his influence with Bush to ensure a proper peace plan was in place, except it is obvious that he has no influence with Bush.

He has made us the 51st state of the US. We shall be tarred by the same brush as the US in the eyes of the rest of the world.

Thank you, Mr Blair, for letting the rest of the world think that the English fully approve of the Bush, Cheney, Rumsfield and Wolfowitch's view of the world.
