EURO MP Liz Lynne was in Droitwich yesterday to discover how two innovative projects are making life better for disabled people.
First she met staff at Droitwich Station's caf "Snax on Trax".
They have learning disabilities and come from Kingsfield Day Centre.
Then she viewed improvements that will open Droitwich Canal up to people in wheelchairs.
Mrs Lynne - who is also the vice president on the Droitwich Canal Trust - was given a tour of the regeneration project.
Work on 12 points along the canal will make access easier, particularly for wheelchair-bound and disabled people who want to enjoy the Pamela May - a narrowboat specifically designed to take disabled people on day trips.
