A GROUP of sixth formers from Alcester Grammar School competed for a place in the Young Enterprise regional finals and came away with a cash prize.
The seven girls and their company, Intuition, won the Best Presentation, one of four awards available in the area final.
Tough competition came from six other school or college companies but the girls won £50 for the company, which is now being wound down.
Intuition was formed at the beginning of the school year. The team organised a party and sold jewellery and soft toys, as well as raising money for the NSPCC.
The directors were Lisa Duckett, Lucy Hall, Alenka Lamare, Caroline Appleby, Alice Emmerson, Cara Savage and Jenny Howes.
Business studies teacher Mark Hamilton paid tribute to Sarah Oakes, from Aston Martin, who had worked with Intuition on the project and said: "The experience they have gained has been very worthwhile."
