A BID to relocate Christopher Whitehead school conflicts with Government planning advice, a council planning chief has said.
Malvern Hills District Council's David Murray told a public inquiry that his authority continues to oppose the possible move.
In his submission - which was presented yesterday - the authority's development control manager said the proposal for Earls Court Farm, in Rushwick, "goes against the whole thrust of Government advice".
He said the plan failed to meet aims of building within urban areas and promoting other forms of travel except car.
He added that if the school was to move, the nearby Grove Farm site should be used instead.
"The site at Grove Farm would be within the recognised development area and have significantly less visual impact on the fringe of Worcester," he said.
