TWO victories in 24 hours marked a successful weekend for Bromsgrove CC First XI.
Nick Davies' side won another final ball thriller last Saturday, skittling Aston Unity out one run short of their 191 target, to add to their final ball winning draw against Wolverhampton.
And they followed it up 24 hours later with a 22-run victory at Birmingham and District Premier Division side Cannock in the National Knockout third round.
The victory at Aston Unity, which saw Jon Farrow take 5-37, also put the Boars top of division one.
Skipper Nick Davies said: "We played good cricket both days and Saturday's will to win was superb. We know the team we have got is good enough so let's hope the weather holds and we keep winning."
Batting first, Simon Keyte (14) and captain Davies put on 50 for the first wicket. Worcestershire's Kadeer Ali then played the anchor role as Davies (49) took control. His departure did not disrupt the run rate as Nick Edwards (18) hit the ball well before going LBW.
Ali struggled to 13 and Paul Duffy (54) and Jamie Campbell (26) re-built the innings, taking the score to 180. A batting collapse ensued as the Boars were out for 191 in the final over.
Farrow and Nick Husbands picked up a wicket each in their opening spells before Edwards removed the dangerous Zimbabwean Young (12).
A partnership of 40 between James and Ishtaq (18) put Unity back in control and they needed just 52 runs from the last 14 overs.
The introduction of Mark Evenson swung the balance as he snapped up two quick wickets but Farrow changed the face of the game.
Bowling at great pace he took key wickets and conceded few runs, leaving Unity needing three to win from the final over with one wicket standing.
The Boars unsuccessfully claimed an outside edge off the third delivery, while the fifth ball went for a single. Farrow (5-37) then struck Abin Din's middle wicket with the final ball.
l An opening partnership of 72 between Julian Court (49) and Jordan Rose (37) helped Bromsgrove post 188-8 in their National Knockout win at Cannock last Sunday.
A stand of 82 between Hewitt (50) and Humphries (43) put Cannock in control but Sean Jackson removed Hewit and Husbands (3-20) bowled Humphries to end any meaningful resistance. Cannock reached 166-7.
Bromsgrove host high-flying Frochester in the regional semi-final on Sunday, June 6.
