SUE Taylor welcomed fellow president Pearl Prior, from Blackwell and Burcot, to the meeting of the Lickey WI, held in May.
There were several apologies due to holidays and Brenda Cullimore read the minutes of the previous meeting.
The skittles team were congratulated on winning three out of five matches in the Worcestershire Federation Tournament and a Hillside Group Skittles Evening was planned.
Several members had displayed items in the craft exhibition held at Lickey church over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend. Names were taken for an outing to Malmesbury in June.
The three resolutions for the annual council meeting were discussed and voted upon.
This was followed by a talk and demonstration of Body Shop at home products by Birgit Hill, who circulated examples of the raw materials which are purchased through community trade for use to manufacture various items. Brenda Cullimore thanked Birgit.
A raffle was drawn and Pat Schofield won the competition for Flower of the Month. The Bring and Buy stall was well supported.
At the next meeting, on Tuesday June 1, Kenneth Godfrey will talk about the Kinver Tunnels.
